You ever try working sick

I woke up today so dam sick. I tried to go but I didn't think I would be able to make it to my first job so I rescheduled. I feel so bad but had no other choice.

If it's something contagious then do your customer a favor and stay home. I would not appreciate a sick worker coming into my home.

It sucks to have to reschedule but when you explain you don't want to make them sick most people will appreciate that and be understanding.

I couldn't even get up my stomach was so nausea.

Ya the key word being most. You have some people that won't have it.

Work sick? Hell I have done jobs with a sprained ankle that I should of been using crutches and used my wand as a cane. I also worked the day after I had my gall bladder removed.

Working with a sprained ankle was doing what I had to do to put food on the table as it was my first year in business but the day after having my gall bladder removed probably was pretty dumb. I had a guy working with me a few weeks before my surgery and I thought he would be ok doing all the work with me on the job but I ended up doing more than half the jobs that day. Luckily we wasn't too busy but it was dumb of me as it hurt like hell.

Dude I had to bring a a somewhat newer employee of mine because my other guy is on vacation. He could even hold the hose. In 16 years I have never argued like that with an employer to get him to watch the hose.

He cleaned one bedroom. And maybe half another one in 5 hours and maybe one little section . I had to go back over it he did horrible never again will I bring that guy he would fight with me to do anything.

If you can walk you can work. But if your owner/operator then fk that sht stay home lol.

Only time i stay home if i can is sickness from stomach bug. That one just sucks

I don't mean you might be better off working alone just yesterday, from reading your posts it sounds like you might be better off working alone on a daily basis. I know it's important to answer phone calls and all but unless you are getting 10-15 calls daily the extra expense and headaches of having an employee could be holding your business back from growing. I know when I work alone I am much more efficient and there is no stress until I'm trying to do 4 jobs a day. I have my 18 year old son working for me and if he decides he doesn't want to do anymore I'll be in no hurry to hire anyone else. Even when I work alone I manage to answer at least 70% of calls and the 30% I miss get called back within 30 minutes and usually within 10 minutes.
