Ok I thought that was the case but wasn’t sure. Asking seriously not to be a wise guy..... so if your going to using the correct prespray and the carpets maybe nylon or maybe poly is the worst thing is your just going to use too much product on nylon?
I normally start out on the least amt I think I may need and add to it if need be anyway. Unless it’s terrible, which is rare for me. Terrible carpet I mix heavy.

You are going to use more solution prespraying a nylon and less for polyester or olefin. Keeping the above in mind you need to mix the chems heavier on the polys. Boosters really improve results on polys, solvents and oxygen. I will use d-limonene and even newline peach or LemonSolv for added solvent and deodorizer kick, everyone loves it. Bad area with polys get presprayed and cleaned twice, once as soon as I set up, presrayed again, agitated and final extraction. The extra steps cost 10 minutes but are worth it.

Hum ok, had that backwards. Good info. Ok I can see the value in finding out every time. I always go to a closet and check but have t checked for which synthetic it was... makes sense. Polys like oil so knowing it’s truely poly may help.

Jim is right, nylon carpets will clean easier then poly because poly carpets absorb lots of dirt in to the fiber and to separate that dirt from the fiber it takes a lot more concentration. When I first started I had no idea about poly vs nylon and when I came across nylon it cleaned with less effort and then I came across to poly and things were not coming out easily and here I am what the hell is going on. Later on I have learned all the things in this forum and then I was able to tell which one is poly and which one is nylon, so when I came across to poly I always pre agitated till the tmf bio 10k pro. I only have one cleaner not 100 like the other here. One cleaner does almost all carpets, I just don't use it on cotton. Sometimes a Berber carpet thinking it is a systetic but when I pre-spray the 10k I start smelling the wool, I still have no issues with 10k because it is less then 10ph, however I rather use a lot lower ph on wool if the customer notifies me the carpet type.

Bio10K and RSF spiked work very well. I CRB every job both before and after. Takes longer but seems to be successful thus far

I pre vacuum without asking. It’s a great way to get to work and stop the chit chat. It lets the customer know your there to work and it earns their trust. Plus I do a lot of repairs so I just got used to vacuuming before I start. It sets you apart just takes maybe 15-20 extra a day.

I had a boss that would freak out if he found out you didn’t pre vacuum. I mean literally Phoenix Carpet Repair owner. But he would sell a Lemon van to another Az cleaning company. With a cracked oil pan. I’m so glad I switched to Ace Carpet Cleaning. I’ve been teaching the owner. But I’ve had to answer some questions of my own here on the Forum.

Well have a lot of experts here on the forum that go out of their way to help.
I’m not the most experienced by any means but if you need any assistance I’m glad to try my absolute best.

Thank you I appreciate that. I really only need help with stone care at this point. I need to find a floor machine and maybe take a class cause I don’t like winging it. I gotta be the best I can be and that’s the one area I’m not experienced.

Yes with stone care I don't recommend it winging it because when it goes bad it goes very bad but once you understand how it works it's mind-bogglingly simple

That guy Scott is a beast. I’m the only tech left with my company the tech that hired me quit had some redo wool rugs that I had to save. His expertise saved my ass. Now the owner wants to sell his assets to me.

Maybe once I get a floor machine I can team up with you for a day and you can show me how it’s done professionally.

I can help you with “most tile and grout” right now. Generic stuff, but natural stone I’m reading the IICRC manual now. I’ve contact a few Stone Cleaners , Scott W gave me names of. But pretty excited for class. There’s a ton of $ in it in AZ.

I appreciate the information. I will have to decide if I want to go Interlink or Clean Center. Their office is right by my house in Peoria. I appreciate the info. Let’s stay in touch. I have a lot of experience my main focus right now is carpet cleaning, repairs, rugs and ceramic tile. If I can add stone i might have to get a box truck to carry all this stuff.

this is the PERFECT thread for non cleaners to see how "professional" cleaners look at cleaning differently.

No need to prespray, always prespray
No need to prevac, always prevac
No need to use special chems on different types of carpet, different carpet needs different chems...........

call 100 cleaners, get 100 different prices, 100 different results.

Too bad customers dont know this...
