Some years (and 3 computers back) I ordered a download of a windows based WYSIWYG web site creator but I can’t recall the vendor or name. I do recall it was 100% intuitive like a word processor, you could mock up the site totally from within the program and test it before publishing, and only do a FTP upload when you were satisfied with the results. It may have had some minor upcharges for designing “buttons” and it the program was in the $100 range. Possibly along the lines of “easy web ....” though googling hasn’t found what I’m looking for and I no longer have a record of the program name.

Anyone have some similar program they can recommend which won’t break the bank? A lot of what I see out there now is tied to monthly fees for hosting or program access, I already have affordable hosting and don’t want to pay a continual license fee to use the web site creator program, especially as I intened to use it to create multiple web sites pertaining to cleaning, ministry and music.

Word Press is by far the most popular, but to be honest it is not that usuer friendly...at least out of the box it is not. Weebly, similar to Wix is more user friendly. Weebly offers some really nice ad ons and again is VERY easy to use. Do NOT go cheap on Weebly though and use the Designer product. It's cheaper, but does not come with the bells and whistles you will want.
