Just a thought.... What does TMF get out of the deal? We enlist the services of House Call Pro and they get a monthly fee, we possibly get free chemical, but how does the TMF store benefit?

I work in rural areas and don't have a great connection so it won't work unless I have 4G and lots of bars. I end up writing the address down in the morning for the jobs I need to go to. They need to have an off line mode.

I have HCP connected to my google calendar so if I can't connect while I'm out in the boonies I can still usually bring up that calendar and at least I have the name, address, and phone number. Normally I already have them entered in either phone's gps or my Garmin, but sometimes those things don't work so well in certain areas.

I believe it would be a help to a carpet cleaning business,,, Honestly to me im just not willing to take on another thing I have to imput data into,, I already do it with each job that calls in, I get invoices ready, print maps to each job and from there to the next job, along with a work order for each job.. I do this each nite for me and 3 guys... I don't need anothing thing to keep up with, plus you have to pay for it each month over and over....
its probably a wonderful program.... im old I don't want to pay for a monthly program for the computer,,, I cant wrap my head around that.

What if you get the call and type it in your phone immediately, where it will automatically save and push to your computer automatically. This will completely negate double entry.

Just my experience, but it does take some getting used to. If you're doing it in office you can use a tablet, laptop, or desktop. I do find entry a bit harder on the smart phone, but not too bad. Here's the thing, once you have them entered you don't have to do it again. You also can set up your price list how you like it or choose custom which basically allows you to put anything in there you want. I personally find myself using custom price a lot more, but you can enter set prices too if you like.

If you have a database of customers that can also be upoaded to HCP with their help which can save you a WHOLE LOT OF TIME. You might think about that anyway. I was able to get my list narrowed down to customers who have used me about the last 7 years and uploaded them. So, when someone calls, I'm pretty well set already unless it's a new customer. It takes me a couple minutes to enter a new customer and I'm pretty slow at it. The only problem with new customer entry I have problems with sometimes is the address. HCP uses Google maps to locate the address. If you enter anything wrong it can be a problem sometimes. For example you enter county road when it should be Highway. The local addresses are never an issue unless you enter the wrong address!

Btw, I tend to write down the info on a tablet and then enter into HCP a lot. That's just because I'm still not as efficient with it as some are.

I put them on speaker phone on the cell. And input into the app while I talk to them. I use the tablet for going out to do quotes or inspections. It works out really nice and I professional looking to the customer. It will automatically send out a reminder 2 days before the appoitment telling them to per vaccum and move their cars out of my way. Then I send s text 1 hour before reminding them I am on my way. Sometimes they still have clothes and crap all over the floor when I get there.
