I'm just an old fish bum that just happens to love to clean. I've spent 85% of my life's wages chasin big fish... the rest I just wasted. Grew up on a 50 year old fishin resort on the Chippewa river in northern Wisconsin, ridin BMX and MX when I wasn't drifting down a river. Last weekend we whacked the big drum in Oriental NC on the dusk to Dawn shift. 14 old drum in 2 nights, these fudgeers dump half a spool on an Abu 7000 on the first run.... It's electric!
This was a double, twin 46" fish both on butterflied pinfish caught under my boat as we pounded beers at the mouth of the Neuse River where it meets the Atlantic.
I really live for running up skinny water to catch big striper and flatheads when the other guy puss's out the first time they run the boat aground and turn around, because if it was easy or safe it's not very fun or rewarding. I try to live life by the drop...

Very cool Jim...We are so opposite and our comon ground is cleaning...Your handy. me..worthless as tiets on a boar....You love fishing and in 61 years have never cleaned a fish...LOL
back in my yute I would get off work at 6:30am, grab a 6 and my ulta lite and head to the creek...Old shoes, cutoffs, tie the 6pk. with a rope to my belt loop so it would be in the water and walk the creek for small mouth...4hrs. would pass in a hour.

I'm an old cleaner. Been cleaning for 22 years. I was a former owner of a Franchise for almost twenty years. I'm an independent owner now and rebranding myself and company. Before that, I was in the aerospace manufacturing industry.

I started out as a front man for a rock band at Ohio State in early the 60's, playing lead guitar and singing lead , which caused me to play too much and study less, so I left college to only get drafted into the Army for 2 years, during which time I went to Vietnam for 13 months of that 2 years. Got home (girlfriend waited for me), got married, had 2 kids and 2 dogs, worked at NCR in their computer division, had a new house built, learned Real Estate, got real good at that part time, quit NCR and then became a home builder and Real Estate agent. Interest rates for home loans hit 17% in the 70'S, so I left Real Estate and went into remodeling My wife left me after 10 years of marriage and took our 2 daughters cause we lost our BIG NEW house (had to sell it). Met my current wife in a bar after my divorce was final, moved in together, my 2 daughters came to live with us, she had a son from her first marriage, and we got married and I adopted her son. I learned house framing, interior trim work, plumbing, electrical, drywall hanging and finishing, and then we started a cabinet shop and did that for a few years. Then a friend suggested I go into carpet cleaning with him, so I did. We did not work well together so he went his way and I went mine. My wife got pregnant and we had a new baby girl, so now we have a truly blended family with all it's ups and downs.
I closed the cabinet shop but still have all of the woodworking equipment in my current CC shop. Anyone interested in any woodworking tools and/or select hardwood?
Did a 9 year stint as an ETM designer and manufacturer, and I am still cleaning carpet (34 years now) and such. I think I am going to stick with carpet cleaning!
I will say my life has never been boring!!!

Stop it Nick! You are a for real, for real, train engineer?!?! As in drive (not sure if drive is correct term here) the trains? That was my #2 between Astronaut and Fire-fighting-police-officer! Why do anything else? You have to be part of a pretty small club and make millions a year... at least that’s what 4 year old me believed. This almost sounds like what a spy would tell you... are you a spy too Nick?!?!
I'm Warren. I've been at it since I was in high school. I took over my fathers company and then rebranded it to Dynamik Carpet Cleaning after running it for a few years.

I'm here to learn more about the online side of things as we have a lot of business that comes in but not much online exposure.
On a personal note I love travelling. I've seen a lot of the country at home in the states and Canada. I've also been to Europe a few times. When I retire I want to move there and hike as much as I can.

Got into Restoration on a whim after college when my bud was begging me to help him at work. Quickly gained the title "carpet bit" lol.
Switched companies and don't clean as much as i want to, but we're a small growing business. I really love this kind of work
