An old techinique for cleaning problem fabrics and low moisture is to whip the SHAMPOO into a foam and apply it to the fabric. Gently scrub it in and then either vacuum it off or rinse with your low moisture hand tool.

Well a take off of that technique is to use a hand blender and use a encap/SHAMPOO and whip it up in a bucket.
The hand blender is not the kind with the two blades but the long hand blender with a small 1 inch blade at the bottom.

You can get these very cheap at wal mart or anyplace and some are as cheap as $10.

Just another tool to whip up your encap/SHAMPOO.

Or you could just put your shampoo in a handheld pump up foaming sprayer.

You pump it up, squeeze the trigger, out comes foam.

For those that do not know which way to turn a screw driver, what a o-ring is, and the fact the key needs to be on.
When you run out of foam you need to pump the sprayer up again.

I use carpet shampoo applied with a gong brush to eliminate all filtration dirt prior to extraction. When we cleaned carpet with shampooers years ago, cutting in was as common a practice as cutting in the corners and edges when house painting. Never lost the habit.

Good to know some of the old techniques.
