    Did you have to work for someone else for a couple years in your state? or take a course at university?
    We have to work under someone for 2 years or have degree in entomology here. I have the experience but wasn't transferable to this state when I moved. They have the point system here.


    Billy the exterminator BTW lives close to me, but his family has been taking care of his business. They don't ever hear from him anymore. He got back with his exwife or something and got into drugs real bad. His RV got repoed. LOL And he was arrested for driving under influence of synthetic weed.

    They have to have 20 hours training and take a registered technician. And they have to be registered under my certified applicators license. You might buy him or get registered under his name until your 2 years is done. But if you buy his business you can just use his techs.

    I see. I did all that in a different state. Can't use experience here. I would have to buy someones business I think. That maybe a angle I could use. I couldn't afford Billy's company. His dad and mom run a huge fleet. They are milking the celebrity status.

    I will echo what a lot of you have said, carpet cleaning is my bread and butter, tile cleaning is more profitable time wise, I would love to do commercial en-cap cleaning after researching it, looks like it would be most profitable. 26 years in the business and still love it. I'm always learning more.

    Most profitable for me is drapery cleaning (wish I did more of it) followed by tile & grout cleaning but 70% of my sales come from carpet.

    Another easy add on with a great profit margin is garage and driveway cleaning.

    The beautiful thing about building encap routes, Jimmy, is the work is A) very simple and B) lends itself to part time works so you can hire people to do this and the money flows in while you sit watching TV at home. HERE is how "encap routes" changed Jeff Cutshall's life.

    PS Of course, the big challenge with "encapping" is not DOING the work. It is SELLING and SETTING UP the commercial maintenance routes. Jeff wrote a manual on how to do this for our SFS class. Any TMFer can download the manual for free HERE.
