You'll make less money. If you charge a flat hourly rate - what stops them from accusing you of dragging out the time? Why was it slower this time compared to last time? I work slower when I'm tired - should I charge them more? How do I know exactly how long it will take when I give the quote?

I just see a lot of issues doing it that way.

What is the max distance you all are willing to go? I purchased a business that was an hour from my home, so I have been servicing many repeat customers. I don't mind the folks who are 45 to 60 minutes away, but what was 30 minutes from the previous owner is an hour and a half for me. Just wondering if I flat out turn down business or if some of you charge an additional mileage rate?
