The single best way to insure you get restoration jobs is to buy one of the big restoration franchises. They are already on the preffered vendor list of most insurance companies. Its in the companies best interest to make sure you get jobs so they can make their cut.

I know this is an old post but I am wondering how you guys market to plumbers. Do you just go in and offer a referral fee or percentage? I would think that’s not a stable relationship and if someone offers more than they would go with them. What’s the best way to create a strong relationship with plumbers?

I'd send a couple hundred dollars their way and ALWAYS call them when I needed work done to disconnect/reconnect anything. I had a few that I got in good with and rotated between them. Usually plumbers come and go so I was always finding new ones. You can also find larger companies and offer to fix their "oopses" for a heavily reduced rate. A plumbing company of any size has accidents occasionally.

I wouldn't say there is one #1 way it truly depends on your state of business.
In Florida we don't have major insurance providers. I have found it most beneficial to pop into apartment complexes and develop a relationship with plumbers, roofers, and property managers.
