Cool. No real problem with rust? I assume that if I use it everyday that it would not be an issue.
If you run a detergent rinse you won't have any problems, but with clear water you'll need to flush the coil for like 1 minute every morning before the first job.

Boy that looks wore out and broke down .
Ha. You should have seen my Chemtex when I bought it sight unseen. Dogged out, rode hard and put away wet. Half the hoses were shot, gauges plugged off, rigged every way imaginable. I refurbed it and put in service Oct 2014. She hit 1000 hours today! Making money with that POS!!

Wish I could find the original water box and solution tanks for it.
Honestly the original water box looks a lot like a rectangular metal tool box. Wouldn't be that hard to convert a tool box into a water tank! Or you could have one made for you. But really you don't need it if you are not going to use chemical injection.

That machine looks like it was worked on by somebody who didn't really know what they were doing and they got tired of it. I'd recommend going through and make sure everything is tight, lined up, new fluids/grease etc...

Yup... I have a Steamway Powermatic 1150 - same design as other Powermatics. I love this machine. But as I was saying I have my water box bypassed right now. I think my pressure pump needs some new seals or something. It's making plenty of psi with a garden hose attached but it won't suck water from the water box.
Your out let to the pump should be below the float Cas out let should always be in the water in the box at all times

Lol
