People are scummy. A guy ran into the side of one my trucks. Tech was on the phone with us and the guy admitted it was his fault. He didn’t want police called but that’s our policy. When they showed up he blamed our tech. What’s your policy?

(Pic for attention, not my truck)

While I don't have a tech right now, when I do I'd stick with this policy for vehicle accidents:

- Report accident immediately to supervisor
- Take pictures of any damage on both vehicles
- Take pictures of the other drivers license and insurance card to exchange information
- Required to call the police if there's an injury involved (not required for fender benders)

I suppose it happens, that sucks! I hope the machine and tools are okay?

Ive had a few trucks totaled by techs really my only policy is to make sure everyone physically is ok, then after that my tech better hope they werent at fault lol. But in all serious techs call me immediately after everyone is okay send pics to me and i tell them what needs to be done

Why would I not want police and a report?

Even if it was our fault, thats why I have insurance, there is no need to run away or hide or not want to involve the authorities.

Here in California its against the law to be on the phone without handsfree while at the wheel driving
