I have two really big ones. If a customer “pre treats their “spots” or “dirty areas of the carpet” I normally walk on the job. The other one is I have pretty clear limits on furniture I move. One of the things that I won’t move are beds. I broke a bed frame once and I’m never doing that again yet I still have people argue with me when I’m at their home even when they were told on the phone and in writing in my “before we arrive” email. Very irritating.

I have a partner I work with for the last 5 years, so its hilarious when a customer says, "But they told me on the phone XYZ!"

He always looks dead at them and says, "Ma'am, my partner handled the phone call and I know without a doubt he would never say XYZ"

Usually shuts them up immediately.

Same! Except in my neck of the woods outside NYC, I’ve been listening to customers tell me for the last 20 years how they’re going to be ripping out all the carpets and putting in wood floors.

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard that line I’d be as big as Stanley Steemer.

We've had dogs so loud we had to ask the customer to take a walk while we finish.

I'm talking next level decibels blow your ear drums loud, the most high pitched sound you've ever heard for 2hrs straight.
Do you wear ear protection? You could try ‘Surefire EP4.’

Holy shriek, earplugs! A seemingly too obvious idea, but a good one! I’m gonna go instead with a pair of disposable foam Flents Ear Stopples stored in the uniform shirt pocket though. They’ll still cut down the high-pitched dog barks by 99% to a very comfortable level! And take away the pain. Oh, the pain!!

Yo I had a dog jump in my van and eat my Dunkin Donuts. Shredded paper from the bag and bagel crumbs all over the front seat. Couple times Had to shoe the little nut away from inside the back of the van. Kept telling the woman how dangerous it was. Last thing I needed was that fur ball getting his head stuck in the blower belts.

Yeah or when it’s agreed they will move everything and only just start when you walk in the front door.....

I had a realtor we used to work for with the biggest lisp, the exaggerated kind. Us, the painters (interior) and junk removal same day and time. he literally exclaimed "I'm Multi-tasssssssthhhkking"

I could have strangled him. All the walls were wet with paint

Ya gotta love it when a property mgr doesnt see a problem that your carpet cleaning van is parked beside the uhaul moving out, the uhaul moving in and on the other side of you is the painters vehicle and beside him is the cleaners vehicle, theres a couple maintenance guys in there as well but they parked the golf cart on the grass lol.
