We have ran into a stripping nightmare. We are working on stripping a 4000 square-foot vct tile gym that has been waxed for as many years I’ve been alive and never cleaned properly or stripped. The problem that we are running into is the products that we are using are just barely making a dent into the surface of the wax, we are looking for recommendations on what we can do to speed up the process or if there is something better that we may be able to use to penetrate the wax better. We are currently using the endura strip from Spartan stripper with a hawk machine with 110 V and 60 Hz with the black floor stripping pad and screens. Please help, we’ve done 100s of strip and wax jobs but have never seen anything like this.

I did an American legion similar to that. I used spartan shinline emulsifier plus. I also stripped it 3 even sometimes 4 times in spots with a hard bristle brush instead of a black pad. It’s a brush that fits on your floor machine I got it at my local janitorial supply store. I had never seen 1 before since I mainly do carpets. Hope this helps.
