Or the first S bend wand? Maybe @Scott W can shed some light on this. Probably the most famous and most used wand to this day. Anyone know?

I am not clear on the question. Are you asking when the first AW29 was made?

That would be the late 1980s, although I don't have an exact date. Right about 30 or 31 years ago.
Yes and who made the first one be nice to know and why they call it the AW 29. @Scott W

I am not certain who actually manufactured the first AW29, but it was made to specifications provided by Rob and Gordon Hanks as officers of the Hydro-Force company. So, it started as the Hydro-Force AW29.

The name cam from the system of designating part numbers in their store.
A = Accessories, the major classification
W = Wands, the sub classification
29 = part number 29, 29th part on the list

Rob I was managing Adler and sons San Diego branch and then promoted to the Los Angeles branches. I spoke with Bill at Century 400 back then and ordered 25 Ninja portable extractors for the crew in la. Century 400 included the aw29 wands. This was in 1986. They just came out Bill told me.

Very interesting Scott. One more question. I have heard the AW29 was the 1st S bend wand. Is that true?
