I am new to TMF, and I'm looking to get started in the carpet cleaning business. I am looking for a used Chevy or GMC van with a used truck mount installed. I'm wanting to find something that is ready to go. I would prefer the following, but open to what you have..
2005 or newer Chevy or GMC van (long wheel base 155") under 100K miles
ProChem, Sapphire, or Hydro master TM - prefer low hours.
150' vac and solution hose with reels.
Fresh water tank and large waste tank.
If anyone has or knows of someone who is looking to sell there setup, please let me know. I would like to spend between $10K - $20K for a good used setup. I have seen some really nice ones sell for less than $20k and would like to get a nice deal on good used equipment. I am in Las Vegas, NV. so if I can find something in surrounding states that would be ideal.
I am also interested in hearing any advise on equipment or getting started in the carpet cleaning business. I plan to start out with the equipment necessary for cleaning carpets, tile and grout, and upholstery.

Just to give you an idea what would you get if you'd consider my setup. You would have to wait 4-5 weeks, but you're not in hurry, right?
2007 Chevy Express 2500( base), just hit 100 000 miles this week . Truck mount is Relia- Built with a less than 600 hours ( a few months old) with a 65 gal. of fresh water tank
( Prochem over the wheel well tank) and stainless steel 100 gal. waste tank.
23/47 , plenty of power for 300 ' of hoses. You'd get 300' of solution and vacum hoses on reels. Heat is produced by LG heater, Htp, 120 000 Btu, rated up 1300 psi. Included is a chemical rack( all chemistry needed for carpet, upholstery, tile&grout, hardwood floors cleaning, specialty products for removing rust , oil, gum, paint, bio matters, such as blood ,urine, protein stain remover and red strains removers) and chemical injection system for your rinse or detergent ( 5 gal. container). As accessories for your successful business I would include 3 tile& grout spinners( Turbo hydro, Sx-12, both 12") Sx-7 ( countertops or shower stalls)fully functional. For your carpet cleaning needs I would provide 6 jet wand Prochem Titanium Ergo and 2 jet 1.5 " with a titanium head. Both have convenient gun style triggers with a soft touch and removable teflon glides. If you think you want to be more sophisticated cleaner, you'll benefit from CX-15 or/ and Bonzer wand. Prochem , 2 jet wand can be used for a stairs cleaning. For a stairs agitation I can recommend either Oreck Orbiter, or Hot rod spinner, both regularly used by my esteemed fellow cleaners. If you want to enter world of VLM) very low moisture or you would like to lift the fibers and remove pets, human hair, available for you is Brush Pro 20 with almost new set of brushes, blue for carpet, gray for tile&grout. For upholstery cleaning you can choose Prochem with built in bypass, Mytee 8400 DX or Kleen-rite upholstery tool, You can choose 1, 2 or all 3 of them, if you like, I still have some backup tools.
I believe you'd want to present yourself well while entering custumer's house. To assure that you will have 50 pairs of high quality shoes covers( non slip, waterproof)to start with,10 movers grade blankets (72"×84") to protect customer's tile or hardwood flooring and 20 corner guards ( 4 Duk's with a adjustable legs).
To make your performance more efficient I recommend 4 high velocity industrial grade air movers - 2 Phoenix, 2 Powr-flite all 4 lightweight under 20 lbs each.
Instead of making list of everything, I've opted for more
popular form of telling you what each tool can be used for, since you're starting out.
If you're interested, PM me, if you're not , use it as a guideline for equipment made for us and used by us. All of this can be had, but 20 K wouldn't do it.
Good luck and keep
@Spazznout words very close to your heart .
