VLM vs HWE

Cleaned a local utility company Friday evening which has very dirty CGD carpet. I cleaned half VLM and half HWE. Went back Saturday evening to check out the results. The difference was pretty obvious so I went over the HWE side again with VLM. I knew the VLM side would be better but didn't expect that much of a difference.

Used a brand new TM and an Orbot Vibe, with very popular cleaning agents. Both sides vacuumed before cleaning.

Fill vibe with solution and spray as you go.

Why buy a product with peroxide in it. Why not just get the full stuff and add peroxide

I'm allot more comfortable with buying products like this then having to worry if my guys are mixing correctly. It's a great product used by many cleaners, why add an extra step to the process?

It has polymers in it. They can cause problems if you add your own peroxide. Better off buying encaps that have it added already.

well there is the problem.

I used HOST exclusively for 8 years until DuPont Stainmaster came out in 1989ish. Then switched to HWE with TM but kept using the HOST machine as a CRB. Found that it wasn't the HOST compound that was doing the cleaning, but it was the CRB that made the carpet look better. Same with HWE, if you don't use a CRB, you aren't getting the best results.

Next time do the same test but this time use the Orbit Vibe (just to be fair) on both. I bet you will end up going over the VLM side instead of the HWE side. You know how I know? I've done the same test (not with a Vibe, but with a Brush Pro)

Isn't the encap an polymer on its own. I've never had a problem adding it myself. But in saying that I use 50% HP and haven't been burned yet... Yet

Encap using a crb stand alone isn't going to do as well as microfiber pad. Your not getting any transfer with just a crb
