One customer called me asking about cleaning a Velvet Sectional, her cat urinated on it and wants to know if I can clean it.

I have cleaned velvet with solvent base cleaners, but never encounter 1 with cat urine, any advices on how to clean it and also treat for pet cat urine contamination.

If it’s cat urine the only way you will ever be able to improve it will be with wet cleaning. If it’s a removable cushion I recommend pulling the cover off and washing it and then get new foam to put inside the cushion.

Thank you Todd, like always helping out.
The furniture store says only solvent base cleaning. And I told the customer that the only way is wetting it. And I explained to her about the possibility of the fabric becoming stiff, the advice of removing the cushions and washing in sounds also good. I am going to wait to see if I get more replies here as to how to clean it. Thanks Todd

If it is a velvet weave made of 100% polyester there should be no problem wet cleaning it.

Every time I would run into a polyester velvet in my career I would yell out Yahtzee.

Velvet is a weave not a fabric.
