Exactly what I just threw together in my shop, I need a more efficient way to extract the water because I don't have a floor drain... For now I am using my TM with a cage filter over the end of the hose.....also I found some drainage PVC at the hardware store with holes predrilled and made my own rug sucker! Works slick
I use 4 inch pvc as well. Set your water claw in the pit to extract.

Todd if one uses a 4-1 Hydroforce used for rugs wouldn't that be closer to 32oz per gallon?
Yes. I used to put 32 in. I tried using 20 ounces and it works just as good.

Couple issues that cause problems is insufficient removal of urine and moisture.
This is why I always use agitation with soak and rotary to flush.

I always set up drying chamber with fans a dehu for 24 hours to remove any chance of vaporization of moisture on return

Wool holds moisture differently than other fibers and you gotta return them bone dry

The rug is 100% man made face fibers with a woven backing.
That is a "tufted" rug. Always set expectation levels low, under promise and try to over deliver. Just remember the glue holds onto urine odor molecules and are difficult to address. We are working on an out of box idea last week in our rug shop. I'll share the idea later if it works.

Your talking tufted backing like on carpet? This doesn't appear to have any glue it definitely is woven most likely by a machine . Either way @Todd the Cleaner idea of using acid rinse worked awesome! I'm going to remember that for another level of urine treatment to offer my customers. Excited for my unchained to show up tomorrow too!

Easy - spray it with acid and throw a UV light on it for 30 minutes before rug-soaking it. The heavier frequency of the UV waves breaks the molecular bond of the ammonia salt particles and allows it to rinse freely from the rug.
