Well I'm starting another rebuild. It's a White Magic Triton LS. Should be an interesting build. 4 cylinder Ford, Roots 59 blower, Cat 5cp pump. Going to try to salvage the coolant heat exchanger as a pre-heater but I'm getting rid of the exhaust exchangers, diverter and all the associated crap that goes with them in lue of a eurotec diesel burner. They didn't restrict the blower on the inlet side but the exhaust side looks like it goes from 4" to 2.5 or 3" right at the blower gotta fix that so it can breath.
If theirs interest I'll log the build in this thread like I did the black widow thread.

1 - What is the temp limit of the diesel burner you are planning to use?
2 - and what is the pressure limit at full temp?
3 - and roughly the price of the burner?
Thanks and looking forward to your pics.

Thermostat controls I get are maxed at 300 degrees
Pressure limit on the burner is 3500psi
Price on burner I'd have to call my friend I get them from and ask him last one I bought from him was 800[/QUOTE]

No doubt. I've got one sitting behind my shop. 60 hp fuel injected. Needs a rebuild. Love to see the progress and get some tips!!

Not sure but I think its bigger than the vsg413. My black widow build has a vsg413 and this motors bigger, think he said it was 50 or 60hp

Yep, My bad the engine is the Ford 58hp fuel injected.

Rob, I would love to get my hands on one of these to re-buid. Thoughts?

I had a lot issues with both . Biggest was overheating , few times cut out for no good reason I could found why. Other problems from pump , to spikes in heat . Wires burning up. To gauges, Heat diverter gone bad.. some smaller problems. It was always something . Be on job and would not start up or cut out middle of a job. Then work fine for days after then start acting up again. Last was engine seized up.

sounds like a worthwhile project. I would rethink going to a diesel fired burner. yes you will get amazing heat but it stinks and you will get soot over everything. You will need a separate fuel tank just for the burner and you don't want to run out before the job is over. I would replace the heat exchangers, on that engine, you should have awesome heat if you utilize the coolant/exhaust/blower heat. Yes it can be a pain to redo and you will bypass excess water to the recovery tank. Ever hear of an A>P>O. You will have a powerful/hot machine in the end with just one fuel. Thank me later.

There's alot more that goes along with heat exchangers than just freaking heat brother....half the bullshit that messes up or bogs down the performance of your machine is heat exchanger related (solinoids, diverters, choking down blower and engine exhaust to make them run hotter etc, etc).
I run 14' foot box vans so a small 10 gallon fuel cell isn't an issue, if burners are adjusted correctly air/fuel they burn pretty clean very little if any smoke or smell.
On my other machines I utilize the coolant heat exchanger as a preheater then run into the eurotec burner it gives me 280 all day long instantly doesn't matter if it's 70 degrees or 10 below outside has no affect on my heat unlike heat exchangers.
Utilizing the coolant heat exchanger on my cds allows me to run the piss out of it on about 5 to 10 dollars of diesel a week. We'll worth it for me =-)
