Looking to get a Hotbox to heat the water for my porty. It costs about $400.00 and I am wondering if it is a good way to go or should I get a little giant. At $1700.00 the price is holding me back. Any response is appreciated.

I think a lot of people just use their cars to hotbox..... Giants are bad because when they sit in the car for too long they need to get out and stretch and then all that smoke escapes and you have to start over again!;)

SteamBrite has a Little Giant 2HT on a cart with propane tank for around $1200:

You can wheel it up to the front door, but can't take it inside (obviously).

You will get hotter water with the LG, but drawbacks include: cant take it inside (so no highrises or places that insist on locked door) and buying propane.

The electric can be used inside, but your water will be not nearly as hot, and you have to fiddle with more cords and finding more circuits.

I would recommend you to save a little more and buy a northstar heater, the hot box will only slow you down and you will not see much difference on the water, and since we are in the business to make money, the northstar can be used for carptes, tile, pressure washing etc, so to me is a much better investment than a hot box, that is going to be siting in a corner collecting dust.
