Hi everyone, my name is Josh and I recently participated in the TMF training school. My background is in the cleaning industry but from the Jan/San supply side of things. Recently, I decided to take control of my own destiny and go into business. I have always been a big supporter of learning from those who are professionals in an industry. As Henry Ford once said, "I don't need to know everything. I just need to surround myself with those who do." This was a significant reason for choosing the TMF training school. 35+ years experience in any industry is tough to come by.

My participation in the TMF training school had two purposes for my new startup carpet and hard floor care business. First, gain as much knowledge as possible on the various systems, techniques and products used in the industry. Second, determine which systems, products and equipment would serve me the best as I get off the ground. As you can probably tell from my enthusiasm, both purposes were more than met. Rob and Tre were extremely helpful in pointing out different variables that will set me apart from the competition.

Thanks to the training and guidance I have received, I feel equipped and eager to get going in my new endeavor. I would encourage anyone in the industry to participate in the TMF training school. Whether you have a new business like mine or an established company, they have plenty to offer. Please feel free to ask me questions or make comments as I am happy to go into more detail on the awesome experience I had at the TMF training school!

Joshua had the chance to see many of the Online Course videos first hand before anyone else too, just for the record. ;)

So, when did you become TMF member and how long after that you decided to take classes with Rob's school?. Based on your reaction, classes were exciting and informative. How long was the training going on and what was the percentage of hands on experience? You obviously have to make one decision at time, what is your proffered direction. You starting with a carpet&upholstery, or you became proficient in all areas allowing you to expand in natural stone cleaning and more? I'm asking this, because you're quotes are so applicable in real pro life, but you would need to go through" Life " University, where you have to go grasp for your sanity in cases where theory is not going to provide you with right solution. So what is first step? Getting truckmount, couple useful tools, like CRB, Orbot, Cimex, CX 15, Zipper, Bonzer, couple titanium wands, Mytee Dry? I certainly missed a few gadgets , but you can get ahold of them as you go. My point is, no matter what direction you'll go, start doing it right now. It's like to learn new languages, once you start, you can't let go, because you'll forget really quick, if not having enough practice time. I would like to know, if your investment going to transpire in real project anytime soon. I remember taking sanitationn classes for purpose of opening my own establishment in hospitality industry. Cost me a couple hundred bucks. What is your next step ? You asked for questions. How you going to procede, Josh?

Thanks for all the questions. I'll try to answer them all and apologize if I miss one.

- I joined the TMF community back in August of 2016
- Classes were very informative with a tremendous focus on detail and industry niches.
- The training I went to was 5 days long. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit 3 different customers during my training. 2 Resdential and 1 Commercial property. We did a ton of hands on work at the TMF shop from VLM to tile and grout and Rug & Upholstery cleaning.
- One of the main purposes was to gain insight to which direction made the most sense. I will be putting an emphasis on VLM and Tile and Grout in both residential and commercial properties. However the training school gives you an education in all aspects of the business.
- In regards to your comments about problem solving, as a graduate of the TMF training school, I have access to the knowledge of Rob and his team when running into challenges. Also, they have assisted me with business development, website info, SEO and basic protocol on business operation. This all was in addition to the cleaning side of the training.
- Some of the tools and equipment I have started with are a Nautilus MX3 1200PSI porty, the new Orbot Vibe(which hasn't arrived yet), CRB, TurboForce TH40, and a variety of other smaller necessary tools.
- As far as my next steps, I am setting up my website, marketing and vehicle with the proper equipment. I have a number of larger tile and grout jobs already lined up and plan to launch within the next 2 weeks.

Thanks again for all the questions!
