Does it really take a full day to teach a cleaner how to encap? If so, they are doomed to fail.
Most are 2 day classes offered in the industry at present. I am cutting that in half. Your sentence is an over simplification as there is more than meets the eye esp to someone new at encap. Learning how to encap, how to ID commercial carpet as Olefin, polyester or nylon, proper spotting techniques, proper chemistry for different soil levels, how to sell commercial cleaning, how to clean stairs, furniture and residential carpets with encap and how to handle urine with VLM without using HWE takes time to explain and show with various equipment on the market. Using a CRB, planetary, rotary or oscillating pad takes time and skill also.

Ive learned price shoppers always try to haggle you, Your price is your price. You set the price of what you feel your value is for cleaning and your client has the right to decide if they want to pay it or not. My price is my price and I'm confident I can deliver and exceed the value.

Kipp...er Point.Your point was Clear...Read it! "If 3,000 is a lot of money to you..you are Not A business man?"

A guy may bootstrap a business with a small amount of cash, but in a short period of time a businessman would be cash flowing and at that point $3k should not represent a large sum of money

Good point

We bootstrapped our startup and am trying to become a business man. With some goals and intensity we've cash flowed $10,500 in 4 months some personal some business. Buying another truck also. Pretty excited to see our work paying off.

Chris charges 2K for a 2 day class. Honestly who cares about prices but you price shoppers? I charge top dollar for carpet cleaning and the low ballers complain which is not my target market. Quality is key.

So your saying my father is not even even close to my good friends Scott & Steve? I disagree, you're on a forum that we created and took to a mass of......

TRUCK MOUNT FORUMS STATS
  • 20,634 Registered cleaners
  • 1.2 mil posts
  • 5,100+ Facebook Group Members
  • 5,944 Facebook Followers
  • 4,097 Youtube Subscribers
  • 1.5 Mil Youtube Views
  • Endless PM's, messages, text messages and phone calls helping out cleaners worldwide for free....
No one else ever created such a network for cleaners this strong. The haters gonna hate all day, do what you will. You can choose to go to a local college or harvard, you can also choose to get a Joes steak from vegas or from outback.

Oh by the way, should I just tell everyone to go by some tile brushes from home depot instead of using yours cause they suck? How would you like if I said negative things about your products? You have no idea what this class is on or about nor attended, so you cant even judge it.

How do you not know that we give out a 1,000 website for attendees if we did or not?

How do you know if the class has any value or not?

I am awaiting your response to be like 'WtF FuK MAN oMg like I CanT TyPe and I lIke to ComMent on EveryOnes ThrEadS to SpeaK NegatiVe WhIlE I GeT High As A KiTe OH Go FuK oFf RoB'
I've said alot and mint too but Rob that's IMPRESSIVE ......much respect!

Hey look Rob, you still have groupies left on the forum. Haters gonna hate...
The is not about the haters or groupies. This is about me trying to build the best class possible with the best value possible to guarantee the students maximum success. Suggestions sincerely appreciated, anything else is unacceptable.

We will be shooting for mid-June for our 1st R2P class. You are welcome to attend 2 or more days, as two will be the minimum accepted. The pricing will be listed after we exhibit at the Experience convention next week. We will also do a survey there of what cleaners would like to see at further classes. Have a great weekend everyone. Got to get packed and taking my latest truck with a bunch goodies there.

***Please, no more weed, funny videos or off color comments in this thread. They will be deleted. TY

@rob allen I wish this class was around when I started. I have a few questions, and apologize if this was covered as I did not read the 8 pages+ of commentss. Do you have an advanced class that would be the next step after this class. The one step that I would like is the chemistry portion, but want to learn the advanced information that you could learn over years of trial and error. I have been in the industry for several years and have started to develop my own information and learn by doing, but always can gain knowledge from those who already have done so. Thanks

Mr. Allen,

The School sounds like a great idea respectively. I like that you plan to hammer at the problem of "Low Price Leaders" destroying our industry. I also appreciate your efforts to clean up TMF with respect to all of the filth one must sift through to find quality content. Not everyone on TMF is restrained by a working moral compass, therefore,
I hope that you will enforce the moderators to keep things clean and remain fair and balanced without fear or favor.

You might wanna consider a Allergy certification class. seems to be the biggest thing consumers are worried about that would hold actual value to potential customers
Thanks. I'll add that. I am shooting for the highest experience in the industry. Appreciate the suggestions

Looks like I'm going to have to enroll in some sort of frequent flyer program at the rate I'm going to be coming out there for classes ;) I would definitely value having an allergy certification.

@rob allen Will you be developing certification logos for attendees to display on marketing material/websites as proof of their knowledge and training?

SS seems to think its worth spending millions to push the certification and they are the only ones. Its on every van I see. And they recently changed the jingle they have had forever to "your certified cleaner"

So let's say I'm a new business.

I need to
1. Learn how to market
2. How to price my services.
3. How to manage a business (pnl statements, invoicing, etc)
4. What equipment is affordable yet quality for a new business
5. How to secure financing.
6. How to clean carpets, upholstery, tile. (core services)

This should be a online class just like doing a online college course. Tmf should set up proctors around the country (in sure tmf members would be happy to) for the practical part of the course. There should be a manual, study materials, sample business plans, support contact numbers, proctor locations near the student.

Something like this would be a huge help to our industry and would be a LONG TERM solution towards removing low price, zero quality hacks
