A lot of carpet you guys clean will allow for air to flow thru the pile easily from underneath, even so that an unglided wand won't even lock down.

Some carpet will not and wand will lock hard unless glided.

Your not always going to be at 20in lift.

Don't over think it, this machine Rob made will clean the shit out of some carpet.

The only machines I would ever buy
- Judson
- Steam Action/robs tmf
- Relia built
- Aero tech.

Throw the sissy glide in the trash, lift the wand on the back stroke along with the carpet right off the floor and talk about lock down. Best have some abs jus sayin

Know what I gathered form this new rabbit hole?? ...that a 2" hose maxes out at 200cfm.

I cant say I know this to be true but this has been revealed as fact by a couple people that are big influencers.

So, too complicate matters further (LOL), does this void all this cfm talk??

But not maxing out Lift. As a matter of fact lift goes down the further travels. Every 50 feet you can lose 1HG to 2HG’s. That’s why I prefer higher lift machines. Much better to have 15 to 20 HG‘s at 3 to 500 feet then 5 to 9HG’s.

Operating lift at the wand is not dictated solely by horsepower. The blower size, recovery tank size and distance between the wand along with hose diameter from the base unit affect operating lift.

Knowing that lift and cfm are actually the same measurements of one thing, well that requires a paradigm shift in thinking.

Larger blowers can operate at lower overall lift and have higher lift at the wand under the right circumstances....

That’s the thing. They do not recommend running at 3600 rpm. They only claim that 3600 rpm is max. Why do you think that virtually all truckmounts manufacturers actually either over drive the blower ( running at a lower motor speed, but maximum blower speed) or underdrive the blower ( meaning they accept a lower cfm as a trade off). Direct drive slide ins such as the el Diablo actually has rpm at 3000, plus or minus 100. Depending on the load that is on the motor, it does, without question affects the life.
We'll have to agree to disagree brother, 1st machines i ever built had 25hp kohler and a roots 47 on them. I spent alot of time talking to kohler directly about their engine i was installing on my machines. Had a 1st hand conversation with one of their engineers about air cooled motors and engine speed and was told 3600 or as close to it as i could get was best for the motor.

Not sure if i buy that theory, sound of the air flow alone on bigger machines vs smaller machines is considerably more violent. Nothing scientific to back it up just feel and sound

To much info is missing here to say 200 cfm is max for a 2" hose.

Like what lengths of hose and what max lift is.

Not surprised. And anyone can do anything but most do nothing but put others down.

Classic Rob, wouldn't expect anything less from you. Hopefully you find time to eat some turkey today between constantly patting yourself on the back and telling everyone how you improve what is already out there.

Everything is an improvement on everything out there, including and esp Truckmounts. Let me ask you a question since I’ve never pissed on others dreams. Do you get a perversion high feeling from it? So foreign to me. Will you give thanks for doing it while eating your turkey?

On you 3rd machine would be nice to see a smaller foot print, lighter, high output machine. Love the SA but they are heavy and take up a lot my van space, especially when I moved the tank to over the wheel well so I could have access to the right side of the TM. Was thinking something like a HM 875 and working all the bugs out. That machine has high heat, 5.9 blower, compact design just need to simplify and bullet proof it. Also they had a price tag at $32k so you would under price all your completion.

He should worry more about the machines hes putting out than talking shit about this machine

I own one of his "flagship" machines with just a little over 500 hours on it its eating oil and blowing smoke, that to me should make him say "wow" not someone private labeling a steamaction

I wonder if some of the industry bully’s were bullied as kids and now they feel like they have to be one themselves. Kind of like a cop who was bullied as a kid but then when he got some power and authority they take it out on good people. Maybe they are compensating for parents that didn’t hug them or tell them they loved them. Odd.
