Okay so I do regular carpet care and an annual CRB buff and mop on some wood textured vinyl planks for an imaging center. Good client, fairly regular with their cleanings, but they recently asked if I could strip and wax some of the old 12x12 vinyl squares in some of the older parts of the building that we're upgraded to the new LVT. I don't do much stripping because frankly it sucks, but in this case gotta keep a good client happy and keep other cleaners out of the building.

Problem is they are open 7 days a week from 7am to 11pm, so it's a midnight job, I can probably get 1 other person to help, might be able to start in some areas before they close, but specifically they have an MRI room that is included in what needs to be done. I absolutely can't do that room until after 11pm, and it's an MRI room. My understanding is that I cant have any metal in that room ever, so no floor machine, no portable to suck it up even with long hoses and the machine outside since the hoses are have metal in them, hell even my hand brushes have metal on them.

How do I go about stripping a ~430 sq ft room by hand with no metal tools?

Hey! Finished my floating subfloor and added some kilz mildew/mold primer on top. Great stuff around the edges. I’m curious if there’s any benefit to putting vinyl plank flooring down before adding furniture and counters in a build rather than adding to the visible floor areas afterward. Thanks!
