Stickyness to carpets

So after having jobs where the customer is satisfied but I've felt that the carpet could be softer, I'm thinking about doing something a little different.

I'm going to try mixing my pre-sprays lighter than recommended (applying more in heavy soil areas), and diluting my rinse agent more, or doing freshwater rinse where fibre softness isn't an issue.

Next stage of this is putting a water softener in the van. Calgary water sucks.

Other thing I'd like to try is Judson slop and gobble and his rinse agent vs Prochem and Esteam chems. Need to get results more consistent.

In another forum you said you were using a CRB. Dont mix the prespray according to directions if that is the case. You can dilute prespray more if you use a CRB. NOT that your trying to save money...you just dont need that much.

This is what I thought. Just want to get down to the lowest amount of chem (rinse, or prespray) needed in any given situation. Whatever goes in must come out.

If truck space is an issue like it is with me, I got a $400ish water softener and plumbed it with a garden hose on the inlet and a water spigot on the outlet. I leave it in the corner of my storage space and can move it anywhere I need to.

Truck space is kind of an issue. Still working out being as efficient as I can and not taking everything (got an Express 2500 2009). I'd like a little mini-softener that will have a quick connect and go to my freshwater tank. I use a Prochem Legend XL that I refurb'd. Can't wait to upgrade in a few years.
