Three year old Titan with Kubota engine does not start in cold weather even though I have a door drape covering it. I have to jump start it from the van engine. So what i have been doing is starting the machine before I set up while the van is still warm.

Put in a new battery which did not make a difference.

Had a Prochem Apex that had the same problem so its an issue with the engine since they both have the Kubota Engine. Changed the Starter in the Apex and it solved the problem.

So my question isnt how to fix it (just change out the starter) but why would the starter be the problem?

I took a look at the manual for it and it has only one Caution. It states not to use your van engine to jump start it or it may do damage to the charging system. I don't have a clue why, but it's in the manual for a reason I'm sure. If possible you might want to call whoever sold you the machine. Since they work on these things all the time they might point you in the right direction or call Hydramaster directly. I'm assuming you've already gone through everything on pages 83 and 84 of the manual? Maybe someone on here still has a Titan 575 that might be able to better advise you. https://hydramaster.com/Manuals/Titan_575/MAN-33165 Rev 3 182-575 Titan 575 Owners Manual.pdf
