Honestly the whole thing is confusing to me. In St. Louis County, population 1,000,000, there has been 7,360 confirmed cases, with 758 reported deaths.

So that would be a 0.7% infected rate. 10% mortality of those infected. Which I'm sure is skewed given the low sample size and apparently has mostly been in nursing homes.

I"m in Texas and both my parents and 3 siblings got it. They all went out for fajitas and margaritas for my brother birthday. Anyway, my dad had to go to the hospital for a week because of low oxygen. He got home two days ago. My mom was weak and felt like shit for about 15 days. My siblings felt like shit for about a week. My parents are 70 and 71, active and own a trailer park.

Probably because there is far less chance of catching it outdoors! I just read on the Homeland Security web site yesterday that the higher the UV index is in particular it greatly decreases the life of the virus. At least that's how I understood the chart they have. High temperature affects it some and so does humidity, but UV seems to really affect it from what I can understand. UV index is going to be high all week here and 11, considered extreme, towards the end of the week. You might want to check this out. I fooled around with a little the other day. Sadly, I doubt we'd hear much if very many homeless were dying. If I were homeless right now the last place on earth I'd want to be would be a homeless shelter. I've found some would actually rather be homeless than go to one of those places even before this pandemic!

How many people do you know who have had it? And how many do you know of died from it? Personally not hear say. People you actually know.

I don't know personally of any. My wife works at the hospital as an RN so she tells me of the reported cases. But it doesn't seem very high at all.

You're in Texas and you didn't get the Ribs. Should have gone for Ribs. Best ribs in the world in Texas. The one time I ate Taco's in Texas, or I guess I should say TRIED to eat tacos in Texas was in Austin and they brought me ROTTON meat in my Tacos, I politely paid for my drink and left and then got a Pappa Johns Pizza sent to my motel room. So it doesnt surprize me because the hispanics in TX have a completely different attitude than our Good Mexicans that we have here.
