I've always liked your systematic approach to your business. Thanks Shane! This is a quick little video on selling commercial carpet & tile cleaning door to door.
Some businesses have a spot on their counter and will allow you to place cards and such .Do you guys ever go door to door i; shopping centers dropping off coupons or is that illegal?
I found that commercial business is the easiest to sell, Every Restaurant, bank. bar, hotel bowling ally and store has carpet that needs to be cleaned more often than residential. If they have more than one location you can get the rest. When I first started I got one bank account. I ended up with nearly 100 banks full of carpet drapes and upholstery twice a year and banks were less than 10% of my work. Hand out your card to every business you go to. You don't have to ask for the business, Tell them what you have to offer them, (Then deliver) they will find you when they are ready. The word gets around quick when you do good work. Don't sell price! Sell Quality and dependability. The biggest obstacle to getting all the work you can handle is getting it done when promised.
I built my whole business on commercial work, I never cleaned a home in the last 30 years unless it was mine. Defiantly was a gold mine. I would rather do one large job rather than run from house to house. My pitch was "If you don't like my work, Don't pay me for it." It worked every time and I never had anyone not glad to pay me and I honestly had all the work I could do at very good prices.[/QU
