Hi peeps. I'm a programmer from Moldova, working remotely with a one and only client from France. I visited Prague a few times and I loved it so much that I decided to move (I don't lose anything if I try - In the worst case I will just come back). I gross 4500 euros monthly. I am researching all I can about self-employment in Czech, but I would love to hear from someone with similar experience maybe. My questions:
- do I need someone to help with getting residency/registering as self-employed/accounting? Is it not even worth it to try and do it myself? What was your experience with that, how did you find a company that can help with that without draining all the money from you?
- I heard CZ is pretty corrupt - how safe am I with that amount of income there?
- Do you have an accountant or can taxes be prepared yourself?
- Is there any law like in Germany that does not allow me to work as self-employed if I only have 1 client?
- Weird question, but are there any other residency options maybe? Maybe I can somehow keep my Moldova self-employed status and work using it? How do people usually do that? Do they in the general register as self-employed and work from there?
