I personally run an alkaline (8.0 so barely alkaline) at 1/2 dilution. Works like a champ.

Rob I agree with you, I love the way your sf rinse 8ph rinses, how ever I don't agree that rinsing agent leaves residue crystals when it dries which needs to be vacuumed, not all my customers will vacuum, what happens then? It will re soil quickly

Residue that dries to a crystal is certainly better than residue that bonds directly to the carpet ... I get that customers won’t necessarily post vac but at that point it’s on them

Maybe im wrong but an alkaline is a detergent not a rinse agent.

Interesting, but doesn't the crystals trap dirt for re soiling?

For whatever reason the TMF acid rinse seems to work better for me. Really like the way it leaves the carpet bright and soft. Does a nice job cleaning also. I have used the alkaline rinse also.
