Hmm, i would stick to the side of safety. And have them move birds from area being cleaned. To closed room with fresh air. Some species of birds die very easy.

But im also curious to know if its safe for birds. I know some customers that have birds. Last thing i would want to hear is that i accidentally killed their pet.

Birds is a pretty general category. Birds can be very sensitive. That is why the "canary in the coal mine." For some birds even spraying droplets of water can irritate their lungs and create problems. For other birds the odor is the issue.

I would suggest that birds be moved far enough away that no mist from spraying or even odors will come near the birds.

If you wanted more specific answer, then learn the exact species of bird and consult a veterinarian.
