Hello! I am considering the 360i for purchase but the person I would buy from has mentioned that the dry time can be very long. How long a dry time can I expect if I use a 360i?:AddEmoticons04259:

I think a lot of it depends on the length of hose you're running, size of hose, type of extractor it's attached to, and if you're wide open on the amount of water being used.

I saw your profile and you're running a TM. Unless you're going way out there on hose I think you'll be just fine. I use my Rotovac 360i on my Myee M5 and am happy with it. Haven't been over 75' with it yet though. But will later this month.

You'll start out with about 3 month dry times and end up with 1-2 hr dry times IF you are using a crappy portable and pay attention. USER error and failure to change are the cause of most RV360 horror stories.

Using a CHEAP dual 2 stage porty with 25ft of 1.5" hose it is possible to leave a place with 2hr dry times using no air movers. It isn't fast. It takes TIME and EFFORT.

Given a decent portable (at least quality dual 2 stage preferably dual 3 stage vacs), reasonable hose run for your porty, and a knowledgeable user, the 360 shouldn't have any longer dry times than any other wand using similar equipment (a 100ft hose run from a Vortex on a 14" glided wand vs 75" on a M5 with 360 isn't similar). Air movers can be your friend.

Horrifyingly wrong. He has either let the vacuum slots clog or he's never serviced or changed the felt ring. I bet he never takes the head off the machine and his felt ring is all stiff, flat and dryed out. Or like a couple other guys said he's running a portable with too much vacuum hose.

You should expect about 2~4 hours dry times if using a porty....

You will have 1-2 hour dry times if you have a truckmount with plenty of heat and suction and your NOT over wetting the carpet. Also it will depend on type of carpet as well.

we use the 360I and havent looked back.

if you should have any question please feel free to contact me....209-668-2727 my name is Pete

Wow! Thanks for the response guys!!! If any of you know Tony from Optimum floor care, He is the one I talk to. He tested it in his store using a Porty w/2-3 stage vacs w/heat. All new equipment. 619-422-7233. What he said was what he experienced there.

Buy it. Take off the head, replace the felt gasket. Buy several. Spray the one you are using with silicone before you get started for the day. Take the head off and remove the gasket cleaning the gunk off. Repeat until gasket is bad, replace. Start the 360 on high speed. Low speed starts can damage the gasket too much initial drag.

BTW, do NOT forge the gasket! You will not believe how little water you will remove from the carpet. DAMHIK!

Rinse the head out to help keep the vac slots clean. CLEAN the vac slots. Check your jets "frequently". This is a high flow machine and the more the jets wear the more the flow increases. I tend to run 0.75's in stainless.
