Haven't done a repair in forever! Here was a quick $250. Carpet was pretty beat up and they are putting in wood floors in the spring. Seam not the best but the pattern was tough (at least for me). They were happy and I got paid.

I cal it a mini jack - it's used to stretch carpet as well. It hooks onto tackless but you can change the head over and use it as a "crab stretcher".

Not sure if I'm selling yet (I hate selling tools). If I do it will be everything - power stretches - mini jack - Kool glide - iron and all tools in one shot. Still thinkin about it.

I never really lick. I use a power stretcher. I don't do installs - just re-stretches. I don't wear knee pads but the again I don't do a ton of this work either.
