Removing Kerosene from Carpet in a New Pickup

One of my customers spilled a gallon of kerosene in the floorboard of the backseat of the truck and it sat 3 days before he called me. It has most likely spread out throughout the pad of the truck. Any ideas on how to remove it or should he just replace it?

Replace, youll never get a gallon out of that pad. Prob gonna have to pull carpet and pad and clean the hell out of the floor make surr theres not any in any of the nooks and crannies of the floorboard

Yeah and do you really want KEROSENE going through your equipment as a combustible?

I would probably try to do a insurance claim with replacement.

I was thinking replacement too but wanted some second opinions. Thanks for the input.

Hydrocide will take care of it.

If the spill occurred days prior and its not physically wet then it should not be a problem just make sure to flush and not dry extract only. Fumes are volatile and flammable but if you wet and emulsify the area first then its a whole lot safer.
