Regulator Unloader leaking

Greetings to all I have to replace my "leaking" Regulator Unloader ( white spring)

I know they sell the kit to repair I just petered to replace it.


So I order this one from Kleen-Rite https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-2284-suttner-unloader-38-fnpt-8-gpm-3600-psi.aspx


My question issssss why do you have to take out the check valve ?

@Todd the Cleaner I read some post that Todd recommends removing them and I found this Youtube video
but , explanation?
