My digital marketing guru and I just attended a conference in Madison, WI where he showcased some of the things we are doing for my carpet/tile/water damage business. I am only sharing this with TMF as some of you ahve contacted me on what we are doing. You are free to do these things yourself as they all work. If you need professional help, hire a trustworthy SEO company who understands our trade and understands current techniques to get your phone ringing. Ranking your business in the top 3 of the map pack GETS your phone ringing. Don;t let anyone else tell you differently. Some things we have done recently include:

1. We create GMBs with all of my surrounding cities, not just the main one. We create service area subpages as the website or use business.sites (both work) and also set-up unique tracking #'s for future citation use on every GMB.

2. I do press releases with GMB map embeds. I partnered with a guy in the UK that syndicates these for me and then I use the press releases in google stacked docs to point backlinks to my GMB. Highly effective to push GMBs from the way bottom to the middle of the pack in short order; especially if there are a lot of businesses in the map pack. I recently got a GMB that was stuck at #5 and #6 for the past year into the map pack using this strategy.

3. I have been creating Google Local guide accounts and using those accounts to leave 5 star keyword rich reviews on my lead gen GMBs....Not the most white hat approach...but hey...what can I say. Having a Local Guide leave a review that sticks is a good thing.

4. We create a ton of GMB FAQs. I think this helps. I also do a post every day for 30 days and then I repeat those same posts month after month.

5. I pay for CTR to my GMB and I have them "Follow"...not sure how much this helps, but I figure hey if I am tricking out my GMB, why not go the extra step. I don;t do a ton of these, but enough to be more than the competition.

Hope this helps. If you need a professional...contact my guy at ....Tell him Cee Bex sent yah (He gives me a discount if I refer anyone.....just sayin!!)

Just curious, creating GMB for many locations is against Google policy isn't it? Many companies have been hit with heavy bans by Google for up to 6 months or more for things like that. But maybe I don't understand exactly what you're saying.

OxiFreshGuy, thanks for your reply and you bring up a good point, however if you want to take your carpet cleaning to the next level you have to think outside of your main GMB...unless of course you service a large city and are headquartered in that city. I live in a Community of 8,000 people and I service my town, but I also service the next two biggest towns next to me. One has 50,000 people population, the other has 38,000. I believe that I am the best carpet cleaner with the best equipment, best technicians, best customer service. My reputation and reviews validate such. Our only marketing is referrals and digital marketing. I have tripled my business over the past 3 years because I expanded my reach digitally outside of my 8,000 population community and set-up virtual assets in the two bigger cities (we actually have expanded to a 15 city area). In order to that in Google, you have to think outside of the box. All of the techniques follow Google terms and conditions as I am a service area business (not brick and mortar). These properties are lead generation properties that are powered by my business. It's a creative way to get the phone ringing and definitely is within the T&C of the Big G.

I'm not sure that "creating" Local Guides to give yourself positive reviews is something I'd recommend to these guys. Nor would I let your other local cleaning companies know you've done that, they may report you for it. If I knew, for example, that my 'competitor' was fabricating reviews to make himself look better, and I was not, I'd be likely to complain to someone about it.

Dude you have 51 messages in 3 years so I highly doubt any TMF members are contacting you on what you are doing. I don't recall any of your posts but maybe someone else has, sounds more like you are either promoting something or selling something.
