My digital marketing guru and I just attended a conference in Madison, WI where he showcased some of the things we are doing for my carpet/tile/water damage business. I am only sharing this with TMF as some of you ahve contacted me on what we are doing. You are free to do these things yourself as they all work. If you need professional help, hire a trustworthy SEO company who understands our trade and understands current techniques to get your phone ringing. Ranking your business in the top 3 of the map pack GETS your phone ringing. Don;t let anyone else tell you differently. Some things we have done recently include:
1. We create GMBs with all of my surrounding cities, not just the main one. We create service area subpages as the website or use business.sites (both work) and also set-up unique tracking #'s for future citation use on every GMB.
2. I do press releases with GMB map embeds. I partnered with a guy in the UK that syndicates these for me and then I use the press releases in google stacked docs to point backlinks to my GMB. Highly effective to push GMBs from the way bottom to the middle of the pack in short order; especially if there are a lot of businesses in the map pack. I recently got a GMB that was stuck at #5 and #6 for the past year into the map pack using this strategy.
3. I have been creating Google Local guide accounts and using those accounts to leave 5 star keyword rich reviews on my lead gen GMBs....Not the most white hat approach...but hey...what can I say. Having a Local Guide leave a review that sticks is a good thing.
4. We create a ton of GMB FAQs. I think this helps. I also do a post every day for 30 days and then I repeat those same posts month after month.
5. I pay for CTR to my GMB and I have them "Follow"...not sure how much this helps, but I figure hey if I am tricking out my GMB, why not go the extra step. I don;t do a ton of these, but enough to be more than the competition.
Hope this helps. If you need a professional...contact my guy at ....Tell him Cee Bex sent yah (He gives me a discount if I refer anyone.....just sayin!!)
