I have just received a new pumptec m58 motor from my supplier and I need it running to 230v
My Australian supplier has told my to simply connect my white wire to prong 4 and my black wire to prong 1.
With the green earth screwed into the green screw.
I have done this, however it runs for apx 20-25secs and then trips my breaker. The power lead prongs are very warm and also the motor is very very warm to touch around its belly and it really hasn’t run for long.
Have I been instructed correctly for 230v? And also are the other original set wires (red brown blue white) in their correct position for 230v?
I have turned on the machine 3 times now and same results cutting out apx 20-25secs.
Pic of wiring section before a attached my black and whites and after.
Any help would be appreciated

Also this is a pic of the wiring plan.
Being 230v should I be wiring it to high voltage or low voltage?

Make sure you have the proper Cam Bearing if running on 230-240v !

Thanks Ed, I’m pretty sure I’m using a 0.160 from memory. The same cam bearing size I’ve been using for a few years before having to get the motor replaced. Cheers

All sorted now. I just had to change the standard wiring setup to high voltage and then connect my black and white wires. Working perfectly now.
Cheers
