PROBLEM: Cat was displeased with the condition of his litter box. Decided to drink a bunch of water and soon after "download" it all onto my very nice "tempur" type pillow top mattress that cannot be flipped while I was washing the sheets. After reading some of the "urine in mattress" threads my hopes of saving the mattress were crushed. Tried some of our best urine stain removal products, worked for the most part but the odor still would linger and come back. Thought about grabbing one of our rental portables and a waterclaw, but decided to try a new product instead.

SOLUTION: Poured 1/3 of a quart of Pro's Choice X-Cide concentrate over the affected area, worked it into the mattress to spread it throughout the affected area. Left my apartment with a fan on, window open, and bathroom vent on to help with air circulation and drying. Came back 6 hours later to an odor free mattress. Took probably 10 hours to completely dry because I added some clean filtered water to get rid of the sticky residue that the concentrate left on the surface of the mattress. X-Cide does leave a light detergent/fresh laundry fragrance behind that I find pleasant and in no way over-the-top.

THANK YOU PRO'S CHOICE FOR SAVING MY MATTRESS!

I'd have to agree with you there Frank. I'm doing some pet damage today that's been there for a while, and I don't know what I would do with out the urine stain remover they make.

I've been handing out samples of the PC-45 from Pro's Choice and recently got back some information. Customer used the product as directed on unknown spots prior to hot water extracting. He said they came right out. I know this isn't super helpful information, but its some customer feedback nonetheless.

ya Iam reading about Xcide now and Proschoice is offerinf 50% off on xcide in may $39.98 per gal the problem I have it say allow to dry before steam cleaning???? thats a 2 trip product in my estimation especial if you have to wait hours after saturating the carpet and pad what about using a water claw?

Hypercyde Odorcyde and Hydrocyde all say works immediatly thats important to me.

If this stuff worked immediatly I would PU 3-4 cases at the 40 per gal rate.

Priceless

Cory from C&C here in New Orleans told me about this urine removing and neutralizing product. We mostly use Pro's choice products but i have never used it so pretty soon i'll give it a try and i'll let you know how does it work but i assume it does work very well.
