Hi all,

I have took my machine to the local lawn mower repair guy.

He calls me later on saying that when he takes the wire off the oil switch and earth it the machine will run but he can't turn it off with the ignition switch and as soon as he puts the wire back to the oil switch the machine won't turn on?

Any help or suggestions on what to do or needs to be done to have this problem sorted out? He did replace the ignition switch using three different switches and it keep doing the same thing.

I been having issues with this machine not working now.

Thank you all for the help in advance.
Sam.

If I remember right, there's a override sw on the front panel that tells it that oil pressure is good. Then when you release the sw if pressure is good it stays running. I think that there's a relay somewhere. Or he has a wiring issue.

did he replace the oil pressure switch? the oil pressure switch has to provide a ground to the shutdown relay so it stays energized, providing power to the fuel solenoid and fuel pump. if the oil switch is bad you will not start.

You also need to check for continuity through your waste tank float switch and make sure it is working correctly.

You can also check the shutdown relay itself. They like to chatter alot and burn up.
