Possible to repair HELICOIL HEAT EXCHANGER COIL??
I think my heli-coil coil head broke due to freezing cold weather. my solution and coolant are mixed in the radiator tank.

does anybody know if this is repairable or requires a completely new Helicoil could?

Thats gonna be costly. Not sure if repairable. I'd call an Aramsco distributor to verify availability and fixability. Can you divert your hoses around it to clean in meantime?

So they sell the heli-coil heat exchanger on Aramsco for $1.8k. I’ve not very mechanical so wouldn’t know how to divert the hoses; hopefully my mechanic will have an idea if that’s possible. Thanks

Maybe not because the coolant still circulates through the hoses bypassing the heat exchanger. I have one I noticed at my warehouse today. Not sure exact condition.

Thanks for your reply Rob, yes I was concerned about the engine overheating if I bypass the Helicoil. I have a mechanic looking into the machine on the 3rd. It's been a pain because everywhere is closed over Christmas and the new year.

Would you consider selling your spare Helicoil failing all other options?

Yes I'd sell it. I dont see how it would overheat because you still have a radiator. PM me for details if you want the one I have.
