Hello all

I bought a van with a Performer 405 a few months back and the machine runs great but the float switch was defective. The previous owner told me he bypassed the wiring behind the panel so he could still run the machine until the switch was replaced. I installed a new float switch but I cant seem to find what exactly he did to bypass the wiring, therefore my new float switch is not working. I’m assuming he did something at the Override switch at the panel but I’m not sure what.

I’ve tried to use the wiring diagram to figure it out but no luck.

Any help correcting this would be greatly appreciated!!

if he bypassed the float sensor look for the harness near the sensor location on the floor somewhere with a wire loop attached to it
all the float sensor does is to ground the coil to shut the engine off
I have my Truckmount wired so the pump clutch stops when the tank gets full
I like this way better the engine still runs only the hot water stops
