Any small engine or lawn mower shop should have what you are looking for.
So I'm gonna need a pump to suck the gas out of the trucks fuel tank, right?
I'm unsure of what I'll need exactly, that's why I'm asking.

Onans that were built back many years ago were great motors for the most part.
Hydramaster put a lot of 20HP Onan engines in there Hydracats. I have seen some
that were more that 25 years old. Most were rebuilt but Onans of that era were
very rebuildable . They were not throw aways. Also Kohler Magnums were great
motors that made 18 and 20 hp motors which many mfgs in the industry used with
4M Sutorbilts or Roots 45s. Cast iron tough!

I have a friend, 35 years in the biz, who is trying to give me an old 18hp briggs to replace the onan.

He hates onans, he says every one he ever had was an "oil slinger". lol

Now that's a problem I never had with a onan and I ran several over many years...

but my 38hp Kohler is an oil slinger.

There is not a orifice nor a gasket that does not leak or blow oil on it.
Kohler has some piss poor gaskets IMO.

If I can get my Onan running, and it runs well, I'm just going to run it till it dies, or I can't repair it anymore.
