Nylon vs. Polyester

I have noticed something. My two main pre sprays are Vac away Encap Green and Procyon Extreme.

Encap Green on polyester.

Procyon Extreme on nylon.

Procyon doesn't do as well on polyester. Encap Green does worse on Nylon.

Why is this? Am I imagining this? Is there an all in one pre spray for both nylon and polyester?

Have you tried doing a 50/50 mix, or a 70/30 - 30/70....?

Oil bonds to polyester, a soap free product like Procyon, is limited to activating surfactant residues in the carpet to remove oil. Also Procyon does not penetrate the depths of the pile like a pre-spray with surfactants. Unless bonded to oil, soil will gather at the base of polyester fibers. Awesome article! For reference, Vacaway's Encap Green is similar to The Release it line.
