Hi Guys

Question for Northstar owners, I have a Ram Promaster 2500 with the high roof about 6ft+ standing room, I plan on installing the Northstar hotbox next to the side door, as its quite a tall truck do I need to vent it out or would it be ok to run it in the truck with the side door open?

Thank you

Stu

I would vent it. You are going to get some black soot in your van regardless if you vent it. Wind/light breeze blowing at your side door will make some blow back in your van. Only way to stop this is to vent it out the roof but then you have maintenance on the roof seal.

If you don't want some black soot in your van then go with a big millivolt or Little Giant 4HT high pressure/extreme pressure propane heater. No venting and no soot, clean burn. You should have enough interior height to put a cap on the millivolt heater like a Little Giant. Probably looking at just a little over $2000.00 by the time you get it shipped to your door. Probably looking around 300 lbs or more for a millivolt.
