I got this prochem peak truck mount unit, unmounted and completely disassembled.
The power unit
The collection tank
And Hose reels with hose.

Problem is I dont know how to connect all this equipment and make sure I have a good running system. Anyone can you please help me walk through this process as I am trying to build my sons a family business.

if your not familiar with truckmounts I would take it to a dealer and have them go through it and install it. That way you have the best chance of it not breaking down once you get customers (Very Bad) Thing is, you probably bought it to save money and taking it to Jon Don or Interlink will cost you up the butt. in reality you will probably end up paying much more to get it running the way it should even if you do it yourself.

Its not the worst looking machine Ive seen but still looks like you have a bit of work to do.

have one more point to add that isnt much help to you but may be for other people thinking of entering the business and purchasing used equipment that may need fixing.

The last thing you need when you start a business is equipment that you will need to work on prior to getting customers. Your SOLE purpose when getting into this business (or any other for that matter) is to GET customers. Market, Market, Market. Do a ride along or go to a school to get trained but Marketing comes first - always. Getting equipment that you need to repair now and probably in the future is the LAST thing you need.

Look at it this way. So you save $10,000 on a fixer upper vs a solid machine. It costs you $4000 and a couple weeks to get the machine up and running. Your already off focus of what you should be doing let alone more likely to have a machine that will break down once you do get customers and THAT will cost you.

If your going to try to *save money* up front, your more likely to try to *save money* running the business and you will be out of business just like most of the carpet cleaners that come and go each year. Dont be that statistic

Thank you for your reply. I was given the machine from a family friend who's van blew up and basically he went out of business with a running machine.

Not worried about saving a buck but I am interested in learning to do it myself even if I have to go through it entirely myself.

Theres many ways to skin a cat, if fixing the machine is important to you then do so, but it will still leave you with a higher than normal chance of machine break downs which customers will be lost because of it.

If you've never worked with truck mounts, I'd still say you need to get Jon Don or Interlink to help certify your machine is in good working order before using it. There are proprietary parts etc not all the same as a car engine.

It doesnt look like there is much to do. Just make.sure those heat exchangers are good and didn't freeze or break.(you'll need to remove them and inspect) There is a good amount of common sense stuff before you need to open a manual. Just take your time. You shouldnt run the unit without water going through water pump...just fyi.
(That's based on limited info and pics of only 1 side of unit and not knowing anything about your ability level)

You got it for free?
