There are two new Orbital floor machines from EDIC, the TORO HD and the TORO. The TORO HD is more comparable to the Orbot Sprayborg and has an MSRP of $3028. The TORO is more comparable to the Vibe and has an MSRP of $2483.
Doesn’t seem revolutionary at all. Same 3/8 orbit and even Mytee is going to a 9/16th orbit, albeit with a monster 1.5 HP motor and a 140 pound weight. My Trinity runs 11/16th orbit no problem and the motor needs only 6 amps or so. It also only weights 107 pounds with 79 pounds of that on the head.
For a bit more than a grand more I feel the Spyder will get way better results and way faster.
Both TORO orbitals come standard with a 1.5 HP motor, it appears that the current Mytee orbital ECO-17 is only 1 hp. I'm also curious what the warranty is on the Mytee machine as they don't seem to publish this information.
I often use my Mytee TRex jr with a 14” bonnet drive plate from the bigger TRex for small jobs....you’ll need a 5/8” spacer and longer screws to adapt the bigger plate which sticks out 1/2” beyond the shroud. As such it’s a remarkable cleaning tool at 39 lbs.The variable rpm lets you find the optimal speed where the pads really hook up with your cleaning solution of choice. I run it both stand alone as a bonnet machine, or hooked up to the tm, depending on the cleaning head chosen. It paid for itself in two jobs...
