I'm pretty sure that's a Kohler K582 but hard to be sure from the pic. I have one of those engines in my Powermatic 1150 and I love it.

The 1150 has a Sutorbilt 4M blower. Equivalent to a roots 45. The k582 engine is an awesome engine. Let me know if you need help with anything I know that engine inside and out

I looked it up and here's what I found: given 2850 RPM, at 12" vacuum, it moves 333 CFM, and requires 11.2 HP to power it. At 2850 RPM and 14" vacuum, it moves 323 CFM, and requires 13 HP to power it.

The K582 engine is a 23 HP engine. I've heard that the older flathead engine ratings are different than the new ratings... if I recall correctly they compare the power of an older 23 hp engine to a new 25 hp rated engine or maybe 27. The K582 is a powerful, simple and reliable engine, built of a solid cast-iron engine block. I think you'll have fun with this machine..

    Sorry for slow reply Jim,
It is a master's touch 3000. Kohler engine. I really don't know much about it. I got it used from a guy who also did not know much about it. At times I have trouble keeping the heat up. Especially using the bonzer vs the wand.

Heat exchanger units going to struggle with high flow to maintain temperature especially in the winter. One easy instant heat increase is to feed it hot water instead of cold water. Try it at home first to get a handle on it, hot water out of the tap might be 125°, but with 50'-100' of hose it might be at 80-95° ATM. This is well under what your pump can see as incoming temps. I do recommend if you have a water box is to monitor the temperature in there under high flow too. If it stays under 140° you are good to go. You should see an immediate increase in temps.

Washing machine connection or a sink, which ever is easier. We do this a lot in the winter.
