Casino carpet usually cleans up quite easily. Are you using a truckmount or portable? If using a truckmount how easily accessible is it? How long will the hose run be? Do you have any experience with encapsulation?

Are you sure that it's a wool carpet??
Wool or wool-blend (80-20) is found in many casinos (and, IIRC, is actually required by code in some areas) due to its flame-resistant and anti-static properties. It's also found in a lot of public traffic areas in hotels, elevators, conference halls, colleges, and such. There are several large companies that specialize in producing nothing but low-pile wool carpeting specifically for these venues.

Wool is actually pretty resilient, as long as you don't "felt it up" with a lot of agitation or leave it in a tremendously alkaline state when you're done. Make sure to get it nice and dry, use an acid rinse to keep the pH from doing fiber damage long-term, and whatever form of agitation you use, make sure it stays damp to avoid felting.

There are different grades or quality of wool carpet. One key aspect is the length of the fibers. Shorter fibers pull out easier and can look fuzzy. Be sure the level of agitation, especially rotary agitation is not too much for the grade of wool. You don't want to finish with a clean fuzzy carpet. One of the reasons I like Brush Pro CRB on wool carpet. (With the proper brushes for wool, of course.)

Would a cimex be to much on this?

Probably would be fine if the right brushes are used and if the fibers stay lubricated. But I have not seen the carpet and judge the grade of wool and length of fibers. So, the answer is really an assumption based on the quality of wool I have seen in other casinos.

I’d start by prespraying and using the wand first and see what results you get. I bet it cleans up nicely and easily assuming it’s not 30 year old carpet that hasn’t been cleaned in 10 years.

I’d only move on to using agitation if needed. Start with the wand and then get more aggressive only if needed.

I never knew. I never stepped foot in a casino in my life. Interesting. Proof that an ole dog can still learn something new. (y)

Well thanks to all your input the casino job was a success. So much that I'm on a 6mo. Main plan. Truckmount with wand and cleaned up great. Thanks again guys.
