We’ve been going to ETS for over a decade. There have been highs and lows. This one set a new high especially for us. We never had a break with about 50-100 stopping by our booth every hour. Even on the last day, which is usually dead, we were busy up to the last hour. It was also our most profitable as we sold almost everything we brought along.
But that paled into comparison to meeting and seeing cleaners from around the world who came up to our booth and said “Rob we have been following TMF, your YouTube and now your Facebook group for years. Really want to thank you (TMF)for all you do and tell you how much you have helped my business grow”. Many brought gifts. One guy brought a bottle of Black Label liquor as he said “I really love your Black Label prespray and all you do”. That was really cool.
Then a cleaner brought me a medallion. He said “I immigrated to America when my mother passed away young. She gave me this before she passed away and I want to give it to you”. I tried to turn it away but he said his mother would like that he passed it on to “someone who helped him and his business not only survive in US but thrive”. That was truly an honor to receive and to know that we are making a difference. Being a father and son team that built TMF from nothing we truly understand the value of information and support.
It was really nice getting the feedback and appreciation of so many that I don’t even know. Putting faces to names in person is awesome. We went to lunch and dinner with many and we threw a TMF hosted Beer Park party that everyone seemed to have a blast at. Some of us even got pretty blasted with the Patron shots at the end lol. Still all in all a great experience and we plan on doing it again next year.
Now I know the main purpose of the show is to show off new machines, equipment, tools and chemistry but there is no denying the real chemistry comes from meeting fellow cleaners from all around the US and the world. Building strategic partnerships and friendships is the true core value in my eyes. Have a great day everyone and hope to see you all and new faces too at the next Experience trade show.
*I’ll add a video soon as there are too many pics.
