10 million cases of tuberculosis last year and 1.5 million deaths. No tuberculosis pandemic, no masks and no social distancing. Well allrighty then.
I don't get the arguments against masks from a professional standpoint.

From a personal one, yes....

And one truth doesn't negate another.

40% of Americans are obese and heart disease kills 1800 Americans daily...... Still....McDonalds is an "essential business".....

I totally get that we are categorically horrible at risk assessment but Covid is what's relevant right now.
Seems prudent to act as if

I hear ya. But government control of healthcare makes things worse and more expensive. If it was only in private sector then big pharma couldn't patent drugs for 20 years, costs would decrease substantially and improving ones health would be incentivised. Govt interference just makes things worse with healthcare.

In the US only 200,000 cases which is considered rare. The difference is treatment is available for TB and has a very high rate of recovery. The majority of cases are in 3rd world countries where there needs to be a better effort to treat it. I don't think it is a fair comparison to line the two up. Being in denial will not make the virus go away.

The sooner we as a country agree that we have a problem from the current administration on down the sooner we will conquer it. We need uniformity to squash it. Forget about Republicans and Democrats let's just work together. It can't be that hard.

I am not in denial of another "flu" that has a 99% survival rate among average people. Of course any flu is rough on elderly and common sense dictates social distancing and masking up for them. But the public is in denial about overly enforced protocol and political opportunists jumping on for agendas. Still I wear a mask many times for the weak on the outside but on the inside never.

Uniformity is their goal. We can forget about curing anything when government regulations and federal judges controlling healthcare. The profit lies in treating symptoms, not cures.

That's legit but as I grow older and more wiser , inshallah .....I prefer to only trip on shit I can effect.
I try my best these days to adjust to waves rather than fight them

Your statement of 99% is a denial of the severity of this virus. Yes, the public is being lead astray by the current administrations lack of control. I feel that if Trump would have taken the lead in bringing the country ahead of this then he would not even be concerned about his re-election efforts like he is now. I am not endorsing him but if he would have taken a different direction then nobody could have challenged him in November.

I've actually thought and studied a ton on this recently.....

Did you know that not only are viruses VITAL to our ecosystem and life forms but for instance, as a particular bacteria's population becomes dominant, the predatory viruses expand exponentially to destroy that numbers of that virus until another toxic bacteria takes over and the process repeats itself ?!!!!

Maybe.....(just maybe).... WE are that "bacteria" and our numbers need to be put in check.

I just came from the area I spent every Summer in and was horrified at the homes and human encroachment there.

Bill Burr had it spot on.

That’s funny you say work together but the sentence before all you can do is blame the administration. Nobody can ever agree on anything in Washington

It was their responsibility to take the bull by the horns. If the response would have been different then we would be talking about something else.

Funny cuz I've always had an issue with that scene cuz it's not congruent with scientific description of a virus.
Sounds cool but viruses depend on other organisms for their reproduction.

If I was writing that script, I would have completely re written that part.
I always liked that part.
The way he tells it lol.

Please elaborate. Can you provide some examples?
A perfect example is McDonald's and 120oz sodas.

We could easily ban them but big pharma loves obesity. They make a killing on unhealthy people who are dependent on drugs to keep them alive,

most of these health issues are due to poor diet and lack of exercise.

100% he blew it. His chances of reelection are not looking good at this point.

Had he taken action he would of course had been scrutinized by the left media but if the virus was defeated I don't think Biden would have a chance right now
